Mert Iseri
Mert Iseri is the CEO and Co-Founder of SwipeSense, a technology platform with a mission to deliver healthcare at a fraction of today’s costs, and eliminate preventable medical errors in U.S hospitals. Their applications reduce hospital-acquired infections, enable hospitals to make smarter capital purchases, and allow hospitals to manage their staff more efficiently.
His journey began in Istanbul, Turkey but changed course completely once he arrived at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to fighting medical errors in hospitals, he co-founded Design for America, a national initiative amongst college students to use design thinking for social impact in their communities.
In 2018, DFA was awarded the National Design Award by the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Mert has presented at conferences such as TEDActive, TEDx, CUSP, Design:Chicago, and has been recognized by Forbes in their “30 under 30” list. He is an active mentor to startups from the Garage@Northwestern, Techstars, MATTER, and 1871.
