Bianka Shavers-Rivera was born and raised in Chicago. She comes from a racially and culturally diverse background, with grandparents and great-grandparents who have experienced the immigration and migration process firsthand in the pursuit of their American Dream.
Before joining McEntee Law Group, Bianka held many youth-focused positions. She worked as an assistant language teacher at Kiyosato Educational Experiment Project (KEEP) in Japan. She taught English to several classes made up of Japanese children and adults. Bianka also organized environmental and cross-cultural programs for KEEP guests, in coordination with interns from the U.S., France, and the Philippines. Additionally, Bianka facilitated the Kizuna Project, an annual international exchange program held at KEEP for a group of Israeli, Palestinian, and Japanese young women united for peace-building.
Bianka received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations, History, and Japanese from Wellesley College in 2017. As an undergraduate student, Bianka devoted herself to youth community outreach and mentorship. She is passionate about building cross-cultural relationships and helping others achieve their personal and professional goals. She now helps McEntee Law Group’s clients navigate the immigration system, which she has been doing successfully since joining McEntee Law Group in 2017.
